Albert Selenga Poawui discovered his talent as an artist in his early teens by drawing poster size pictures copied from images of his favorite super heroes in comic books.  His only formal art education came in the 10th grade when he enrolled in an Introduction to Art and  Art History class.  Selenga produced his first pastel art piece, which he gave away. Many pieces in pastel and other mediums followed, most of which he gave away to friends showing genuine appreciation of his work.  All poetry found on this site are original poems written by Selenga, inspired by people and places in his present and past that will always remain in his heart.

In 2002 Selenga hosted his first showing and sale of his artwork, selling only originals to his friends and family from his home.  The show was a success, 8 pieces were sold; 3 acrylics, 2 oils, 1 mixed media, and 1 pastel. Selenga has also been commissioned to create abstract murals in the past few years.
